The Insurance Claims Manager oversees the entire claims process, ensuring efficient, fair, and timely resolution of insurance claims in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team of claims adjusters/officers, streamlining claims procedures, mitigating risk, and maintaining excellent customer service.
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the claims department.
Develop, implement, and refine claims handling policies and procedures.
Ensure all claims are investigated, evaluated, and settled in a timely and efficient manner.
Review complex or high-value claims and Perform accordingly.
Collaborate with underwriters, legal teams, investigators, and external vendors when necessary.
Analyze claims data to identify trends, reduce fraud risk, and implement process improvements.
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure satisfactory resolutions.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) .
Provide training, support, and performance reviews for team members.
