To manage the end-to-end claims process and ensure timely, seamless servicing of clients in the General Insurance domain, with a strong focus on client satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and insurer coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Management:
Register, monitor, and track claims across all general insurance lines (Health, Motor, Property, Marine, etc.)
Liaise with insurers, TPAs, surveyors, loss assessors, and clients to ensure timely assessment and settlement of claims.
Prepare and review claims MIS, dashboards, and trackers for internal and client reporting.
Assist clients in claim documentation, submission, and resolution of queries or disputes.
Escalate and follow up on pending or repudiated claims with appropriate justifications.
Client Servicing:
Act as the primary point of contact for servicing-related queries from corporate and retail clients.
Ensure timely issuance of policies, endorsements, ID cards, and certificates.
Coordinate with internal teams and insurers for underwriting support and resolving service bottlenecks.
Conduct onboarding and induction sessions for clients on claims and service processes.
Support clients during policy renewals with past service records and claims analysis.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all client documentation is in line with IRDAI guidelines and internal audit requirements.
Maintain accurate records of claims communication, settlement, and correspondence.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
Supervise and train junior servicing and claims executives.
Collaborate with Sales, Underwriting, and Technical teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, TPAs, and external service providers.
Key Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of General Insurance products and claims processes.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Client-focused with a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; knowledge of CRM tools is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline (preferably Insurance, Commerce, or Management).
Licentiate / Associate from III (Insurance Institute of India) preferred.
IRDAI-certified broker license (if applicable).
Experience Required:
Minimum 4-7 years of experience in Claims and Servicing roles within an Insurance Broking firm.
