Civil Engineer - Structural (Industrial Projects)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, and construction of industrial facilities, including factories, power plants, refineries, warehouses, and heavy infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in structural engineering principles, industry standards, and project execution within an industrial.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Design & Analysis: Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures used in industrial projects (pipe racks, equipment foundations, platforms, silos, tanks, etc.). Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE, Eurocode, IS codes). Use structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) to model and verify structure integrity. Project Engineering: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process) to ensure structural designs integrate well with overall plant layout and function. Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Ensure design deliverables meet project timelines and quality standards. Site Support: Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases. Conduct site inspections and resolve structural issues on-site. Verify structural compliance with design intent, safety standards, and construction best practices. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations in industrial environments. Ensure all structures are designed to withstand industrial loads including seismic, wind, equipment, dynamic, and thermal effects. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare calculation reports, design justifications, and progress updates. Maintain project documentation as per QA/QC protocols.
Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in structural analysis/design software: STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit. Strong knowledge of structural codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE, Eurocode, etc.). Experience with foundation design, heavy equipment supports, and structural steel detailing. Excellent project management and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering team.
Preferred Experience:

Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Familiarity with industrial plant environments (e.g., petrochemical, power generation, manufacturing). Experience in seismic and wind-resistant structural design.
