Reporting To: Project Manager / RMC Plant In charge
Job Summary
The Site Supervisor (RMC) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all ready-mix concrete activities at project sites. The role ensures timely delivery, proper placement, quality control, manpower management, safety compliance, and effective communication between the site team and the RMC plant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Coordination & Planning
Coordinate with the project team regarding daily concrete pouring schedule and requirements.
Plan and organize manpower, equipment, and traffic movement for smooth concrete placement.
Verify site readiness before concrete arrival (formwork, reinforcement, access routes, pump placement, etc.).
2. Concrete Delivery & Placement
Supervise RMC truck movement and ensure timely unloading.
Monitor slump, temperature, and quality as per mix design and client specifications.
Coordinate with pump operators, masons, and lab technicians during placement.
Ensure proper compaction, finishing, and curing procedures are followed.
3. Quality Control
Check and record concrete mix details (grade, batch ticket, slump, volume received, etc.).
Report any deviation in concrete quality to plant and QA/QC team immediately.
4. Safety Management
Enforce safety protocols at the pouring site.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure use of PPE by all workers.
Identify and mitigate potential hazards during concrete pumping and placement.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily pouring records (volume, timings, trucks utilized, wastage, etc.).
Prepare site progress reports and submit to the project/RMC plant management.
Record client approvals and concrete test sample details.
Address site issues and ensure timely resolution with minimal disruption to operations.
6.Required Qualifications
Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
7. Experience
3-8 years of experience in construction or RMC industry, preferably in concrete supervision or pumping operations.
8.Skills
Knowledge of ready-mix concrete production and placement process.
Ability to read drawings and understand technical specifications.
Strong site coordination and team management skills.
Working knowledge of concrete pumps, transit mixers, and site equipment.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
