Job Description

A civil site engineer oversees construction projects to ensure they meet design specifications, are completed safely, and stay within budget and schedule. Key responsibilities include reviewing plans, coordinating with contractors, managing onsite operations, conducting inspections, ensuring quality control, resolving technical issues, and reporting on project progress. The role requires a blend of technical, organizational, and supervisory skills for various infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, and buildings. Core Responsibilities

Project Oversight:

Manage and supervise all aspects of a construction project from start to finish.

Plan & Design Review:

Analyze project plans, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with construction activities.

Quality Control:

Conduct site inspections and ensure construction work adheres to quality standards and design blueprints.

Coordination:

Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other construction professionals.

Resource Management:

Manage materials, equipment, and labor to ensure efficient project execution.

Budget & Schedule:

Monitor project budgets, resources, and timelines, taking action to avoid overruns and delays.

Technical Problem-Solving:

Address and resolve technical difficulties, discrepancies, and issues that arise on-site.

Reporting:

Prepare and submit progress reports, site documentation, and technical files to stakeholders.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to safety regulations, legal requirements, and environmental standards throughout the project.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and design software.
