Job Description

The Outreach Coordinator role is a field-based position focused on engaging with ward members, ward committee members, and department-level committee members across Tamil Nadu. The primary responsibility of this role is to personally explain the organisation's research papers, tender analysis reports, and governance-related analytical studies to stakeholders and encourage them to register as members of the organisation.

The candidate is expected to already possess strong contact knowledge and working relationships with ward members, ward committee members, and committee members from multiple government departments. This role does not involve cold marketing or tele-calling. It is entirely based on existing networks, trust, and prior coordination experience with civic bodies, committees, or government-linked organisations.

The Outreach Coordinator will visit wards, offices, and committee meetings to present research findings in clear and simple Tamil, highlighting how the reports can support planning, monitoring of public works, transparency, and informed decision-making. The role also includes guiding interested stakeholders through the member registration process and ensuring smooth onboarding. Maintaining accurate records of meetings conducted, research papers explained, and members registered is an important part of the responsibility.

Applicants should have a degree or diploma in any discipline and prior experience in community outreach, field coordination, NGO activities, civic engagement, or departmental coordination. Strong Tamil communication skills are mandatory, along with the ability to explain technical or analytical information in an easily understandable manner. The role requires confidence in interacting with elected representatives, committee members, and officials.

This position is ideal for individuals who are already active as ward committee members, local body coordinators, NGO outreach professionals, social activists, or individuals with exposure to government departments. The role offers an opportunity to work across all departments and contribute to governance research, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
