Civil Quantity Surveyor

Hussain City Township Project, Aykkarappadi, Malappuram, Kerala.

Position Overview

The Civil Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing project costs, contracts, and quantities for a large?scale township project. The role demands strong analytical skills, hands?on experience in civil construction projects, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections to verify progress and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Maintain updated material consumption records and reconcile with site usage. Prepare detailed quantity take?offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for all civil works. Evaluate contractor bills, verify measurements, and certify Running Account Bills (Progress based payment bills). Monitor project budgets, track cost variations, and prepare cost control reports. Assist in tendering, rate analysis, and preparation of bid documents. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, architects, and consultants for smooth execution. Identify cost?saving opportunities and support value engineering initiatives. Manage contract documentation, change orders, and claim. Ensure adherence to Kerala building codes, local regulations, and project quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

B. Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential/township/large infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of IS codes, civil construction materials, and methodologies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and QS software is an advantage. Experience working on projects in Kerala or similar environments preferred.
