Job Title: Quality Control Engineer
Location: Palwal / Faridabad, Haryana, India

Reporting To: Project Manager / Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Engineer to ensure that our construction project meets both high-quality standards and strict safety regulations. In this role, you will inspect materials and workmanship, monitor compliance with blueprints, specifications, and safety codes, maintain robust quality documentation, and investigate incidents to ensure a safe, compliant and high-quality work environment. Your strong understanding of construction processes, materials, safety protocols and detailed record-keeping will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials, construction workmanship, and finished work to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, standards and safety codes. Monitor ongoing construction activities on site to verify alignment with approved blueprints, schedules and quality plans. Review construction drawings, material submittals, work methods and ensure that quality requirements and safety protocols are incorporated. Maintain, revise and implement the project Quality Control Plan (QCP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, work instructions and other documentation as required. Document all inspections, test results, non-conformances (NCRs), corrective / preventive actions (CAPA) and maintain the quality records in a structured, auditable manner. Investigate and record incidents, workmanship deviations, material failures or safety deviations; perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective & preventive measures. Liaise with site teams (supervisors, contractors, subcontractors), engineering, procurement and safety departments to coordinate quality and safety compliance. Conduct periodic audits of workmanship, processes, materials and safety practices on the site; ensure timely closure of any findings. Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality and safety protocols, inspection routines, documentation requirements and best practices. Work closely with the Safety team to ensure that the site's construction activities are not only meeting quality standards but also adhering to safety regulations and codes. Support hand-over and commissioning phases by ensuring that quality and safety deliverables are met before project close-out or client acceptance.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred. 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction quality control / QC engineering, ideally on large-scale building/infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes (foundation, structural, finishing), materials (concrete, steel, finishes), workmanship standards and inspection/testing methods. Thorough understanding of relevant Indian codes and standards (e.g., IS codes, BIS standards), construction specifications, safety regulations and quality management principles. Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, technical documentation and to translate them into quality/inspection requirements.
