Job Description

Position: Civil QA / QC / QS Trainer (Faculty)

Department: Training & Skill Development

Qualification: B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience: 1-5 years in QA/QC/QS or site experience (Training experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities1. Training & Teaching

Conduct classes on Civil QA, QC, and QS modules for students and professionals.

Teach practical concepts like material testing, IS codes, quality control procedures, NDT, BOQ preparation, estimation, and billing.

Deliver theory and practical sessions as per the training syllabus.

Prepare lesson plans, training materials, presentations, and assessments.

2. Practical Demonstration

Demonstrate testing procedures (concrete tests, aggregate tests, soil tests).

Train students on documentation like ITP, checklists, method statements, NCRs, RA bills, BOQs, measurements, etc.

Guide students in software tools related to QS (AutoCAD, Excel, estimation tools).

3. Student Management

Support students with doubts, assignments, and practical tasks.

Monitor student progress and maintain training reports.

Prepare students for interviews and industry requirements.

4. Coordination & Administration

Coordinate with the training team for schedules and course updates.

Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a productive learning environment.

Provide feedback to management to improve course quality.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, IS/ASTM standards, material testing.

Knowledge of quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, billing, and estimation.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple manner.

Basic AutoCAD and MS Excel proficiency.

Preferred Skills

Prior teaching/training experience (not mandatory).

Certification in QA/QC / NDT / QS is an added advantage.
