/ Responsibilities:
1.
Design and Planning:
o Design and analyze steel plant structures, foundations, buildings, and other infrastructure.
o Work on the development of layouts for steel mills, warehouses, bridges, and other heavy-duty structures.
o Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
o Prepare detailed drawings, models, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
2.
Project Management and Supervision:
o Oversee the construction of steel-related infrastructure projects.
o Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
o Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
o Supervise construction teams to ensure that all work meets the specified standards.
o Ensure quality control, testing, and inspection of materials and workmanship.
3.
Site Analysis and Surveying:
o Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine the feasibility of construction projects.
o Evaluate soil conditions, topography, and other environmental factors to ensure safe and efficient designs.
o Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to ensure proper foundation designs for heavy steel structures.
4.
Structural Integrity and Safety:
o Ensure the structural integrity of steel plants and other infrastructure by performing calculations and simulations.
o Develop and enforce safety standards during the design and construction phases to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety guidelines.
o Monitor construction processes to ensure safety procedures are being followed.
5.
Maintenance and Upgrades:
o Support ongoing maintenance and expansion of steel production facilities.
o Analyze aging infrastructure and propose improvements or upgrades to enhance productivity and safety.
o Conduct periodic inspections and evaluations of existing structures and equipment.
Skills:
Software Proficiency
: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, or other relevant structural analysis software.
Knowledge
: Strong understanding of steel structures, construction practices, materials science, and civil engineering principles.
Communication
: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
Project Management
: Experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, including budget, timeline, and team coordination.
