Job Description

A DPR (Detailed Project Report) department job typically involves assisting senior team members in preparing DPRs for infrastructure projects, particularly in the railway sector. Responsibilities include cost estimation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. This role requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills. Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for various project components, including materials, labor, and other resources, adhering to established guidelines and standards.

Quantity Take-offs:

Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications to determine the required quantities of materials for different project components.

BOQ Preparation:

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for different project items, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

DPR Preparation:

Assist in the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) by gathering data, analyzing information, and compiling reports as per the project requirements.

Compliance:

Ensure all DPR preparations and cost estimates are in compliance with relevant Indian Railway standards, guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.

Technical Support:

Provide technical support to senior team members during the bidding process and other project-related activities.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, estimators, and project managers, to gather information and ensure smooth workflow.
Skills:

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and cost estimation principles. Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze project drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents to extract information and perform calculations.

Communication Skills:

Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and preparing reports.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and DPR preparation.

Time Management:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Qualifications:

Educational Background:

bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
