Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer with strong expertise in procurement activities for construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, preparing technical evaluations, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project specifications. Evaluate supplier quotations based on commercial and technical criteria. Prepare purchase orders, rate comparisons, and procurement schedules. Coordinate with site execution teams to understand material requirements. Maintain and update vendor database, conduct vendor assessments, and build strong supplier relationships. Ensure timely delivery and proper documentation for all procurement activities. Monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and avoid delays at project sites. Assist in budget estimation and cost control related to materials procurement. Verify material quality in coordination with QA/QC teams. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering. 3+ years of experience in procurement within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and market pricing. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Procurement software. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in infrastructure, industrial, or commercial building projects. Knowledge of contract terms, BOQ review, and procurement planning. Familiarity with local and international procurement standards.
