to support infrastructure, civil, and utility projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the structural integrity of drainage components such as culverts, manholes, retaining walls, and related substructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Design structural elements of drainage systems (culverts, catch basins, box drains, etc.)
Ensure compliance with applicable codes (e.g., Eurocode, AASHTO, BS EN, or local standards)
Perform structural analysis using software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, etc.)
Collaborate with civil engineers, hydrologists, and site teams on integrated designs
Prepare design calculations, drawings, and technical reports
Inspect sites and provide on-site support during construction
Identify risks and suggest improvements for structural and hydraulic efficiency
Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and method statements
Provide input during feasibility studies and value engineering exercises
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is an asset
Minimum [3-7] years of experience in structural design for drainage or utility infrastructure
Strong knowledge of hydrology and stormwater principles
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
Familiarity with drainage design standards and practices (e.g., SUDS, HEC-RAS, MicroDrainage)
