Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and supervise civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, water supply networks, drainage systems, and other public and private infrastructure.
Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and data analysis to evaluate project requirements and constraints.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet deadlines and financial goals.
Coordinate with architects, surveyors, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project integration and efficiency.
Conduct structural analyses, risk assessments, and quality control inspections during design and construction phases.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Oversee procurement processes and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design intent and safety requirements.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal and client review.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering
or a related field (Master's degree preferred for senior roles).
Valid
Professional Engineer (PE)
license or ability to obtain one is an asset.
Proven experience in civil engineering design, construction, or project management (typically 2-5+ years).
Proficiency in engineering and design software such as
AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, Revit, or similar tools
.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with regular site visits as required.
May involve exposure to outdoor construction environments and varying weather conditions.
Standard working hours with occasional overtime depending on project schedules.
