Job Description

Key responsibilities

Project planning and design:

Create blueprints and models for new infrastructure, such as roads, tunnels, and dams, using computer software and data from site surveys.

Construction supervision:

Oversee construction projects to ensure they are built according to the design, on schedule, and within budget.

Maintenance and repair:

Assess and maintain existing infrastructure, and investigate failures to ensure long-term safety and longevity.

Environmental protection:

Design projects with the public and environmental health in mind, including waste and water management systems.

Risk management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, from technical design flaws to site safety.
Essential skills

Problem-solving:

Ability to identify issues and find effective solutions for complex design and construction challenges.

Technical expertise:

Strong understanding of mathematics, engineering principles, and the use of design software.

Project management:

Skills to coordinate teams, manage resources, and ensure projects stay on track.

Communication:
