Overview

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans including scheduling, schematics, and system design to ensure timely delivery of civil engineering projects. Utilize advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Drafting tools to create detailed drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Conduct construction management activities including site supervision, construction inspection, and quality assurance to uphold safety standards and project specifications. Apply GIS tools like ArcGIS and GIS-based software such as Land Surveying systems to analyze spatial data for project planning and system design. Prepare accurate construction estimates using construction estimating techniques and tools like Mathcad and HECRAS for hydraulics modeling. Manage project scheduling using specialized software such as Project Management tools to coordinate resources, timelines, and deliverables effectively. Perform geotechnical engineering assessments and system analysis for water treatment plants, wastewater systems, pipelines, and hydraulic infrastructure. Oversee technical writing for reports, proposals, schematics, and documentation ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers and land surveyors to integrate system design across various civil engineering disciplines. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during construction activities while maintaining communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

Proven experience in civil engineering projects involving water treatment facilities, wastewater systems, pipelines, or hydraulic infrastructure. Demonstrated proficiency in construction management practices including site inspection and construction oversight. Strong background in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation for drafting and design purposes. Familiarity with GIS applications like ArcGIS or similar spatial analysis tools for land surveying or environmental assessments. Experience with project scheduling software and techniques to coordinate complex engineering projects efficiently. Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles relevant to foundation design and soil analysis for civil structures. Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and documentation clearly articulating project scope, progress, and outcomes.
