We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet all regulatory standards and client specifications. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and proficiency in various engineering software.
Duties
Develop and review project schematics and designs for civil engineering projects.
Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation for drafting and design purposes.
Conduct construction management activities including scheduling, estimating costs, and overseeing project execution.
Perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system design for water treatment, wastewater treatment, and hydraulics projects.
Utilize GIS and ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis related to civil engineering projects.
Engage in technical writing to produce reports, proposals, and documentation related to project progress.
Apply knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles in assessing site conditions.
Assist in the development of project schedules using project management tools.
Conduct hydraulic modeling using SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) and HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Center) software.
Provide support in land surveying activities as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Revit.
Strong understanding of construction management principles including estimating, scheduling, and inspection.
Familiarity with GIS technologies such as ArcGIS for data analysis and mapping.
Experience with technical writing for engineering documentation is essential.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts as they relate to civil projects is beneficial.
Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations using Mathcad or similar software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively within project constraints.
