Accompany project managers and senior engineers on construction site visits to observe and learn about project execution.
Data Collection:
Assist with field work, including conducting surveys, site inspections, and observations to collect data.
Quality Control:
Support quality assurance by monitoring material usage and contractor progress on construction sites.
Permitting:
Help ensure all necessary permits and documentation are in order for project compliance.
Documentation & Communication
Report Preparation:
Assist in preparing engineering reports, spreadsheets, and presentations to document project developments.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including files, submittals, and requests for information (RFIs).
Team Collaboration:
Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and discussions with other engineering disciplines to resolve issues.
Learning & Development
Gain Practical Experience:
Interns receive hands-on experience to understand practical applications of civil engineering principles.
