The Junior Civil Engineer will be responsible for supporting and executing day-to-day construction activities at the Idlewood Project site. The role involves supervising site works, ensuring quality, coordinating with contractors/labour, and maintaining all technical records as per company standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Execution & Drawings Compliance
Execute site activities as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and instructions from the Project Head.
Ensure that all civil works adhere to design and quality standards.
Site Supervision & Inspection
Monitor and supervise daily site activities.
Conduct inspections of reinforcement, shuttering, brickwork, plaster, and all other civil works as per the checklist.
Preparation of Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)
Prepare accurate BBS for reinforcement works and coordinate with contractors for timely execution.
Quality Checks & Measurements
Check dimensions, levels, materials, and workmanship as per project quality protocols.
Ensure corrective actions wherever deviations are observed.
Construction Equipment Knowledge
Be familiar with the operation and usage of construction equipment and tools used at the site.
Labour Management
Coordinate and supervise labour teams to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
Resolve day-to-day labour-related issues on site.
Material Management
Monitor material requirements and ensure timely availability at site.
Maintain records of material received, used, and stock balance.
Quality Control & Compliance
Implement quality control measures and ensure adherence to safety and site protocols.
Report any non-conformance to the Project Head immediately.
Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain site records including daily progress reports, checklists, material consumption, and labour attendance.
Billing & Measurement Work
Prepare monthly PRW (Piece Rate Worker) bills and sub-contractor running bills.
Take accurate measurements and coordinate with the billing department for verification.
Skills & Requirements:
Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering
1-3 years of experience in site execution (Freshers may be considered based on capability)
Strong understanding of civil construction activities
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Good communication & coordination skills
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD preferred)
