: Senior Civil Engineer

Overview:

A Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience and strong communication skills is responsible for leading project design and execution, managing budgets and timelines, and collaborating with stakeholders like clients, architects, and regulatory bodies. The role involves conducting feasibility studies, creating detailed designs and blueprints, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards, and resolving engineering issues. Excellent communication is essential for reporting progress, presenting solutions, and coordinating with team members and external partners.

Key responsibilities

Project leadership:

Lead the design and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Design and planning:

Conduct feasibility studies, create detailed designs using CAD software, and develop comprehensive project plans and blueprints.

Budget and resource management:

Develop project budgets, manage resources, and ensure materials and equipment are procured and delivered as needed.

Compliance and quality control:

Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations through site inspections and reviews.

Stakeholder collaboration:

Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies to align project objectives and ensure successful outcomes.

Technical guidance:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and resolve design and development issues.

Required skills and qualifications

A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Over 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering design and management. Proficiency in CAD or similar design software. Strong problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and presentations. A state-licensed and certified civil engineer may be required. Ability to perform site visits and work outside standard business hours when necessary
