At Quest Global, it's not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place--to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.
Key Responsibilities
This role may require close coordination of the civil engineering area with Commercial Engineering, Business Development, Planning, Main Equipment SME (specially PV mounting structures, Wind Turbines, and Batteries), Construction, Quality and Asset Management teams.
Duties and responsibilities
Define, review and supervise geotechnical site investigations (SPT, CPT, boreholes, laboratory tests), assessing soil-structure interaction and identifying risks for foundations and earthworks.
Lead the design, optimization and review of shallow and deep foundations (spread footings, piles, micropiles, ground improvement solutions) for PV structures, wind turbines, substations and BESS facilities.
Prepare geotechnical interpretative reports and foundation recommendations, integrating results from soil surveys into detailed engineering design.
Cooperate with structural, civil and electrical teams to ensure foundation solutions are compatible with superstructure loads, constructability, schedule and cost.
Participate in EPC and Owner's Engineer tendering processes, preparing foundation design criteria, reviewing contractor proposals, and supporting technical negotiations.
Contribute to LCOE optimization by developing cost-efficient foundation strategies (e.g., pile optimization, reuse of soil, alternative ground improvement techniques).
Review and approve foundation and geotechnical design packages from consultants and EPCs, ensuring compliance with LS Technical Standards, Eurocodes, AASHTO and local geotechnical norms.
Manage and coordinate external consultants and laboratories during geotechnical campaigns, ensuring technical robustness, safety and value for money.
Support construction teams with technical clarifications during piling, ground improvement or excavation activities, resolving geotechnical issues on site.
Provide technical support to the Central Civil Engineering team, ensuring lessons learned and innovative geotechnical solutions are shared across regions.
We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.
We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.
