Job Description

For a fresher Civil Engineer, a Construction Surveyor role involves assisting with land measurement, site layout, data collection using Total Stations/GPS, creating maps with CAD/GIS, ensuring quality and safety, and supporting project teams with technical advice for construction projects, focusing on accuracy and adherence to standards. Key duties include field tasks, equipment maintenance, reporting, and liaison with engineers and managers, while learning surveying principles and software.

Key Responsibilities (Fresher Level)

Field Data Collection:

Assist in taking precise measurements (angles, distances, elevations) on-site using instruments like Total Stations, DGPS, and levels.

Site Setup:

Help establish control points, benchmarks, and construction boundaries.

Mapping & Documentation:

Support the creation of site sketches, topographic maps, and reports using software like CAD and GIS.

Quality & Compliance:

Monitor construction progress for adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Equipment Management:

Maintain and calibrate surveying tools to ensure accuracy.

Team Support:

Collaborate with engineers and project managers, providing technical support and resolving minor survey issues.

Research:

Assist in researching land records and property information.
Essential Skills & Qualifications

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil/Surveying.

Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge of surveying principles, familiarity with Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, and other civil software.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and willingness to work outdoors
