Calculate, prepare, and present detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
Research & Bidding:
Research new construction methods and materials, obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors, and analyze bid proposals to select the most cost-effective options.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to formulate estimates and address project requirements.
Cost Control:
Develop and manage project budgets, monitor actual costs against estimates, and implement cost-saving measures.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks, perform risk assessments, and incorporate safety and health requirements into the estimates.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit progress reports and cost tracking reports for management and stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using cost estimating software and the ability to develop cost models.
Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to analyze complex data and technical documentation to produce accurate estimates.
Communication Skills:
