Key responsibilities

Project planning and design:

Develop project plans, detailed designs, and specifications. Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical assessments. Create construction plans and use CAD software for drafting.
Project execution and management:

Oversee and supervise construction activities on-site. Ensure projects adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Manage project budgets and resources, including preparing cost estimates. Monitor project progress and schedule, and manage risks.
Reporting and documentation:

Prepare detailed project reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders. Inspect and test building materials to maintain quality standards.
Coordination and collaboration:

Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project. Communicate project status to clients and other stakeholders.
Problem-solving and guidance:

Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support. Suggest alternative solutions and mentor junior engineers.

Required skills and qualifications

Proficiency in civil engineering design principles and software, such as CAD. Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with a variety of stakeholders. Ability to perform calculations and risk assessments. Experience in preparing detailed technical reports and project documentation
