Job Description

Responsibilities:

Design and plan civil engineering aspects of construction projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility systems. Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project feasibility, identify potential challenges, and make recommendations for improvements or modifications. Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure alignment with client objectives. Manage and oversee construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, materials procurement, quality control, and safety compliance. Monitor project progress, track expenses, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations for optimization. Conduct engineering analyses, calculations, and simulations to evaluate structural integrity, load capacities, and environmental impact, and propose solutions as needed. Review and approve change orders, RFIs, and submittals, and address any design or construction issues to maintain project timelines and quality standards. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, obtain necessary permits and approvals, and ensure project compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineer or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Estimation software's and other engineering software. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with project management principles and software is a plus. Willingness to work remotely.
