Job Title: Civil Engineer - Site Execution, Estimation & AutoCAD

Job Summary

:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join our team in Patna. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, be proficient in AutoCAD, have practical knowledge of site execution, and be capable of preparing accurate project estimations. Crucially, we are looking for an individual with a genuine hunger to learn and grow within our organization.

Responsibilities

:

Site Execution & Supervision:

Assist in the planning and execution of civil engineering projects on-site.

Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Coordinate with contractors, laborers, and other stakeholders on-site.

Monitor progress and report on site activities.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise on-site.

Estimation & Costing

:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimations for various civil engineering projects, including material quantities, labor costs, equipment costs, and overheads.

Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements and scope for estimation purposes.

Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns.

Evaluate vendor quotations and assist in the procurement process.

Contribute to project budgeting and cost control efforts.

AutoCAD Drafting & Design:

Utilize AutoCAD software to create, review, and modify civil engineering drawings (e.g., site plans, structural layouts, etc.).

Ensure accuracy and adherence to standards in all AutoCAD drawings.

Assist senior engineers with drafting and detailing tasks.

Learning & Development

:

Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning new software, technologies, and industry best practices.

Seek opportunities to expand knowledge in areas such as project management, advanced estimation techniques, and sustainable construction.

Be receptive to feedback and actively seek mentorship from senior team members.

Participate in training programs and workshops as required.

Stay updated on relevant building codes, standards, and regulations in Bihar.

Collaboration & Communication

:

Work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Proven proficiency in AutoCAD software with the ability to create and modify drawings.

Basic understanding of site execution processes and challenges in civil engineering projects.

Familiarity with cost estimation principles and techniques.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

A genuine hunger to learn and a proactive attitude towards professional development.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel to project sites within and around Patna as required.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Some prior experience (even internships) in site supervision or estimation.

Familiarity with any estimation software or tools.

Basic knowledge of surveying principles.

Understanding of local construction material suppliers and labor practices in Bihar.

Should Have knowledge about MS Excel and Powerpoint.
