Supervise day-to-day civil activities including excavation, foundation works, RCC structures, shuttering, and reinforcement to ensure quality execution.
Manage site labor and subcontractors effectively to achieve daily progress targets.
Ensure material requirements (cement, steel, aggregate, etc.) are planned in advance to avoid work stoppages.
2. Technical Coordination
Read and interpret complex structural and architectural drawings, and explain them to site supervisors/foremen.
Prepare and verify Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and material reconciliation reports.
Check line, level, and layout alignments precisely before concrete casting.
3. Quality & Documentation
Coordinate with the QA/QC team to raise inspection requests (RFI) and ensure work passes client inspections.
Maintain daily site records, including Daily Progress Reports (DPR), pour cards, and concrete registers.
4. Safety (HSE) Compliance
Enforce strict safety regulations typical of a refinery environment (e.g., Work Permits, PPE compliance, Toolbox Talks).
Ensure all site personnel adhere to the client's safety standards during high-risk activities like excavation or working at heights.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel (for reporting and BBS).
Strong technical knowledge of IS codes and construction methodology.
Ability to handle site challenges and coordinate with client engineers.
Candidate Requirements
Education:
B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum
3 years
of site experience in civil construction.
Sector Preference:
Candidates with prior experience in
Refineries, Petrochemical plants, or Oil & Gas
sectors will be given priority.
