Job Description

Civil Draftsperson is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings for
plant infrastructure (layouts, foundations, trenches, control rooms) using CAD
software, ensuring accuracy, compliance with codes (IS, etc.), and coordination
with engineers to support construction and preparing Material Take-Off (MTO),
create as-built plans, focusing on efficient, code-compliant designs. Essential
qualifications include proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD and a strong
understanding of civil structures and civil drawings, and good problem-solving
and communication skills.
Design and Drafting:
? Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to produce technical plans
and blueprints
? Prepare building layouts, substructure Structural drawings like
foundation drawing, & superstructure drawings like beam layout,
column layout & their reinforcement details
? Prepare different section views as per requirement / clarity purpose
? Prepare and update civil drawings, schematics, and layouts as per client
requirement
? Prepare Material Take Off (MTO)
? Prepare Good for Construction (GFC) drawings, as-built drawings, and
maintain drawing control/logs
? Develop 3D models and extract 2D drawings as per requirement
Technical Compliance:
? Review project requirements, specifications, and design concepts from
engineers to ensure accuracy
? Ensure drawings and designs comply with project specifications, industry
standards, codes, and regulations
Collaboration and Support:
? Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team
members to resolve design issues and implement solutions
? Provide technical information and ideas to support the engineering
team
Documentation and Record Keeping:
? Maintain accurate records of design changes and follow document
control procedures
? Prepare and assemble comprehensive documentation packages
Quality Assurance:
? Check technical drafts for accuracy in calculations, measurements, and
units
? Perform quality checks on drawings for function, fit, and submission
Office-based in India (with flexibility across major metro cities/Project hubs)
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
? Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, (Revit, Civil 3D - optional))
? Strong attention to detail and precision
? Understanding of civil/structural concepts, power plant concept &
components, and relevant codes
? Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and sketches
? Familiarity with civil structures and their components
? Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams and
stakeholder
Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering
Certification in AutoCAD (preferred)
