The role:

We are looking for a

high-agency, entrepreneurial individual

to lead our Mumbai operations as the

City Head

. This role combines

sales

with academic quality oversight and team management. You will be expected to thrive in a startup environment without much structure, where self-starting and ownership are essential.

Key responsibilities:

Drive

sales growth

by identifying, pitching, and closing partnerships with schools Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through continuous outreach. Manage & support Program Managers to ensure effective program implementation Conduct

daily fieldwork

- visiting schools, conducting demos, observing classrooms, meeting KDMs (not a WFH job). Travel extensively across Mumbai by

public transport (NO Uber/expense accounts)

. Track sales metrics, conversion rates, and city-level performance; report to leadership. Represent EQ in external meetings, events, and networking opportunities to expand reach.

The candidate:

Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written) with a neutral accent. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities. Comfort with

daily fieldwork and extensive travel by public transport across Mumbai and nearby cities.

Proven ability to

sell, influence, and close deals

(education sector experience a plus, not mandatory). Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
(Note: Previous experience in sales, education, or business development is welcome but not mandatory. We care more about mindset and drive than past titles.

Requirements:

Based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai (no relocation expenses will be paid). Good internet/data pack connection and power backup. Android phone (for the EQ App) and a working laptop.
