Job Description

:

- We are looking to hire a Senior Data Associate specializing in web scraping to join our team in Mumbai.

- The successful candidate will work with the team and perform data extraction from major websites, public datasets, and subscription services to help identify trends and spot investment opportunities.

- The Senior Data Associate will be responsible for all aspects of the data collection, working with Senior Analysts based in different regions on requirements, building out the Web Scraping jobs using Kapow, collecting data and providing the post data aggregation results to the stake holders. The candidate will be part of a global team, strategically located in New York & Mumbai.

Responsibilities:

- Consults with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards; recommends solutions

- Prepare reports, metrics and presentations and exchange ideas/information in a concise and logical manner between business units and IT

- Identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

- Impacts the business directly by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, adept at resource management and creating effective timelines. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi Research, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

- 6-10 years of relevant experience

- Prior skills with Web scraping tools like Kapow or Mozenda

- Regular Expressions and basic knowledge of HTML

- Good knowledge of Oracle or SQL database.

- Exposure to a variety of analytical, statistical or programing tools a plus

- MS Office suite, including advanced Excel proficiency

Education:

- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
