Job Description

A Cinematographer & Editor job combines the visual artistry of a cinematographer with the post-production skills of an editor. This role manages camera operations, oversees video and film production, handles lighting, and edits footage to create polished final products. The job involves collaborating with creative teams to ensure visuals align with the project's vision.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Operates and sets up cameras for high-quality shots. Manages the visual aspects of a film, including camera work, lighting, and shot composition. Leads and coordinates the camera crew. Collaborates with directors and producers to translate creative concepts into visuals.

Editing:

Edits footage to create a polished final product. May be involved in creating dailies or rushes during production. Organizes and manages footage for efficient post-production. Trim and arrange footage to enhance video quality and flow. Applies graphics, music, and other effects to enhance the video. Color-corrects footage to improve the visual experience.

Skills Required:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in camera operation, lighting, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).

Creative Skills:

A strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and editing techniques.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with directors, producers, and other team members.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage and organize footage, equipment, and other resources.

Problem-solving Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find creative solutions.
