Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan\'s global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm\'s Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm\'s capital.

GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

Product Control

The role entails the management of both P&L and Risk related tasks and requires extensive interaction with Front Office, Market Risk and Business Management. Additionally, it provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to learn and gain an in-depth understanding of the all aspects of Interest Rate risk. About the Role

Primary Responsibilities: The candidate would have strong analytical skills and attention to details. Past experience in product control function of trading business is preferable. The role is within the Asia CEM Product Control space; responsibilities of which would include: -

• Core Product control responsibility of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Line of Business books and records. This responsibility encompasses:
• Independent Trader Profit &Loss and Risk reporting, validation of P&L Explain along with meaningful Risk based commentaries
  • Daily reconciliation of trade estimate with actual P&L
  • Month-end close process -
    • Working in partnership with Financial Control for accuracy and completeness of Financial books and records
    • Working with Valuation Control group to ensure valuation adjustments are correctly recorded.
    • Working with Legal Entity Controllers for appropriate FX exposure management as well as ensuring accuracy of books and records for every legal entity.
  • Ensuring correct risk sensitivity is sent to Value at Risk (VaR) and providing commentary on ensuing back testing results.
  • Review and qualitatively validate LOB inputs into quarterly US external reporting along with providing meaningful trending analysis and commentary
  • Balance sheet and RWA reporting & analysis in line with CIB minimum standards
  • Preparation of commentary based on risk as well as GAAP line for trading results, linking trading revenues to desk strategies and changes in market conditions.
  • Ascertain a thorough understanding of the end-to-end technology platform and associated feeds/downstream systems.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal and external policies/regulation including Antitrust compliance.
• To manage a team of product controllers who perform all of the above functions on daily basis and act as an escalation point and provide solutions to the team members and stakeholders alike.
• To assess impact and provide inputs on the projects affecting the Asia CEM Product control function including but not limited to various Risk management, aggregator tools and reporting system changes.
• To work closely with other risk groups like Market risk, Quantitative risk, Technology, middle office on various day to day tasks and ad-hoc issues.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
• 10+ years experience in Product Control function of a trading business.
• Good understanding of risk management, revenue reporting systems and end to end infrastructure would be a plus.
• Experience of directly managing team across multiple locations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage global initiatives and projects.
