Job Description


The role involves working with and supporting the US-based partners in portfolio management activities, which includes regular monitoring of the assigned deals by tracking underlying asset performance, reviewing borrowing base calculations and testing covenant compliance, among others. The work also include performing quarterly credit reviews of clients to understand their ability to service existing deals, as well as assist onshore partners in completing annual credit reviews and financial analysis for new deals on need basis. The role provides significant opportunities to learn, develop, and work as an integral member of the business. Responsibilities: Reviewing monthly client reports to check for completeness & accuracy of information and monitor facility performance including borrowing base calculations and covenants testing. Tracking & reporting on financial trends of the borrowers and underlying collateral. Ensuring that the facility continue to perform in accordance with the terms of the credit agreement. Preparing monthly and / or quarterly surveillance decks summarizing key information and terms for the assigned deals. Gathering, entering and reviewing data for regulatory reporting. Performing financial statement spreading & preparing detailed credit reviews of clients (Seller / Servicer) to assess their ability to service existing deals. Assisting US-based partners in preparing and drafting of annual credit reviews, as well as providing need based support in conducting financial analysis for pipeline deals. Preparing tear sheet to evaluate financial performance of underlying counterparties. Keeping track of the latest developments in the assigned asset classes / industries. Participate in projects / new initiatives, including those with broader impact. Maintaining various databases and spreadsheets for internal reporting. Comprehending and implementing the feedback received from reviewers, while also striving to work with limited supervision. Required Qualifications: At least a B. Com or an equivalent qualification. MBA, CA, CFA / FRM or an equivalent qualification would be a plus. From 3 to 5 years\' experience in credit analysis, corporate lending, structured finance or debt capital markets. Securitization warehouse and / or ABS markets related experience and exposure is a plus. Excellent understanding of accounting principles and comfortable in interpreting core financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement). Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint): Advanced knowledge of excel, VBA etc. would be a plus. Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely. Strong business writing skills for credit reports (error free, correct grammar, etc.). Self-starter who is flexible, proactive and detail-oriented. Proven ability to take on additional responsibilities. Must be able to work in a fast paced production environment and juggle a variety of tasks (time management skills are important). Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Must be flexible to work in partial US shift as per business requirements.
