Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes using traditional techniques and ingredients
Develop and maintain high food quality and consistency in all dishes
Handle food preparation, seasoning, cooking, and plating of dishes
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area and equipment
Assist in creating new menu items and seasonal specials
Monitor food inventory and place orders as needed
Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or Cook (minimum 2-3 years)
Expertise in various Chinese cooking styles (Szechuan, Cantonese, Hakka, etc.)
Knowledge of traditional Chinese sauces, spices, and cooking equipment (e.g., wok handling)
Strong sense of taste, attention to detail, and plating skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Culinary degree or diploma is a plus
Food safety certification preferred
