Prepare and cook high-quality Chinese dishes (wok, grilling, frying, soups, noodles, etc.).
Manage and oversee operations in your assigned kitchen section.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and food quality.
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and creating new Chinese dishes.
Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in the kitchen.
Monitor stock levels, handle ingredient requisition, and reduce wastage.
Train and guide Commis chefs in the Chinese cuisine section.
Ensure timely preparation of dishes during peak hours.
Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team for smooth operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
1-3 years of experience
as a Chinese Commis
Expertise in Chinese cuisine (Cantonese, Sichuan, Hakka, or Indo-Chinese).
Strong wok skills and knowledge of sauces and flavor profiles.
Good understanding of kitchen operations, hygiene standards, and food safety.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
