We seek a skilled and passionate Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of traditional and modern Chinese cuisines, excellent wok skills, and the ability to maintain high food quality and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare authentic Chinese dishes, including Cantonese, Szechuan, Hunan, and other regional specialities.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of food.
Manage the kitchen operations for the Chinese section.
Supervise and train kitchen staff on Chinese cooking techniques and recipes.
Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage and usage of ingredients.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan new dishes and seasonal menus.
Handle food preparation for large volumes during peak hours.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chinese Chef in a reputed restaurant or hotel.
Expertise in Chinese cooking techniques, including stir-fry, steaming, deep-frying, and roasting.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to manage a team and work under pressure.
Creativity in menu development and food presentation.
A diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts is preferred.
Experience in a fine-dining or high-volume kitchen.
Knowledge of ingredient sourcing and seasonal planning.
