Job Description

For one of our clients, we are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology function. The successful candidate will define the technical vision, build and manage a talented development team, and ensure that the company's platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Vision & Strategy

Define and execute the company's technical roadmap. Ensure technology initiatives align with business objectives. Drive innovation by identifying and adopting relevant technologies.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Build, manage, and mentor high-performing engineering teams. Foster a strong team culture centered on collaboration and accountability. Provide technical guidance across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.

Architectural Oversight

Make key architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and security. Oversee system design and deployment best practices.

Project & Operational Management

Lead the full development lifecycle from planning to delivery. Oversee infrastructure management and stability (Ubuntu, PM2). Monitor productivity and project delivery using Bitbucket and Jira dashboards.

Technology & Tooling

Guide the use of modern frameworks including React, Vite, Node.js, Express, MySQL. Introduce and optimize mobile development with React Native. Utilize JavaFX for desktop applications where relevant.

Technical Expertise



At least 10 years of experience on the same role. Proficiency in React, Vite, Node.js, Express, MySQL, Ubuntu, PM2. Hands-on experience with React Native for mobile app development. Knowledge of JavaFX for desktop applications. Experience using tools such as Bitbucket and Jira.

Leadership & Industry Knowledge

Proven experience building and managing engineering teams. Strong ability to mentor and inspire developers. Experience in the Maritime industry is highly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to define and deliver a technical roadmap. Strong architectural decision-making for scalable and secure systems. * Experience aligning technology with broader business goals.
