Job Description

Role Summary: Provides leadership and executes the digital transformation of the University to create & support new & deep learning and research opportunities. Provides, integrative management, and direction for the University\xe2\x80\x99s shared information systems, to include institution-wide strategic planning, budgeting for information technologies, and coordination and integrations of all University IT matters and Recommends IT policy at the highest level. Serves as the University\xe2\x80\x99s senior spokesperson on issues related to digital technologies and services for academic, research, and administrative purposes. Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pioneering transformational education system focussing on integration of digital in teaching and research to enhance their impact.
• Provides leadership towards building of a digital repository of academic material and library network.
• Understand and translate at a sytems level the IT needs of students, faculty and administration.
• Provides institution-wide direction of the management and operation of shared information services across the University.
• Constantly upgrade and update various management systems. Develop collaborative system for its stakeholders while d. eveloping automated processes and governance.
• Enable IT services effectively to all users and provide timely support.
• Leads, guides and oversees the institutional information technology budgeting process, and provides leadership in cost and productivity analysis.
• Leads the process of determining the priorities, projects, and future directions of the University\xe2\x80\x99s IT functions.
• Integrates and coordinates the development of and implementation of IT programs across the University, to achieve maximum institution-wide efficiencies and synergies; coordinates the identification and prioritization of required IT initiatives among the University\xe2\x80\x99s various operating components.
• Monitoring the industry trends and develop industry connects.
• Maintains professional contacts with other Universities, external research entities, equipment manufacturers, and professional organizations concerning existing and developing information technologies.
• Leads and guides the design, establishment, and maintenance of the organizational structure and staffing required to effectively accomplish the University\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives in information technologies.
• Provides guidance and counsel to the University LeadershipSenior Management/executive council in the examination and definition of objectives for existing and/or proposed information systems and the design of improved systems.
• Performs any other related role as determined by the University.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• MTech or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree; minimum 15 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Excellent analytical and problem solution skills.
• Excellent understanding of relevant technologies and services that are available.
