Chief Security Officer (In-House) - Hospital

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Chief Security Officer (CSO)

to manage and oversee all hospital security operations. The role involves supervising an

outsourced security agency

, ensuring safety of patients, staff, and visitors, and maintaining discipline, access control, and emergency preparedness within the hospital campus.

This position is

well suited for ex-servicemen or retired police / paramilitary officers

with strong leadership and supervisory experience.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and control outsourced security guards and supervisors Prepare duty rosters, verify attendance, and ensure discipline Manage crowd control in OPD, Emergency, ICU/NICU, wards, and public areas Control entry/exit, visitor passes, and restricted access zones Handle emergency situations (fire, violence, MLCs, evacuations) Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment Coordinate with Medical Superintendent, Nursing, HR, and security agency Conduct surprise rounds, night inspections, and audits Prepare incident reports and ensure timely escalation Ensure compliance with PSARA, fire safety, and hospital security policies

Eligibility & Qualifications

Education:

Graduate (any discipline) - mandatory

Experience:

8-15 years in security services Minimum 3-5 years in supervisory / officer-level role Hospital, healthcare, or large public facility experience preferred

Preferred Background (Strongly Encouraged)

Ex-Servicemen:

JCO / Havildar / Naib Subedar / Subedar Equivalent ranks from Army, Navy, or Air Force

Ex-Police / Paramilitary:

Retired Sub-Inspector / Inspector / ASI State Police, CISF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP

Age Preference

40 to 55 years (flexible for suitable candidates)

Skills Required

Strong leadership and discipline Experience managing outsourced teams Calm and patient-friendly approach Conflict handling and decision-making skills Basic computer knowledge (reports, emails) Physically fit for active duty
