Job Summary
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, coordination, and management of security operations within the factory establishment. The role ensures the protection of personnel, assets, infrastructure, information, and production processes against internal and external security threats. The CSO heads the Security Administration and develops policies, systems, and procedures to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant industrial environment.
Head and manage the Security Administration of the factory establishment.
Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Establish security policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency response plans.
Advise top management on security risks, threat assessments, and mitigation strategies.
2. Physical Security Management
Oversee access control systems for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and materials.
Ensure effective perimeter security, surveillance systems (CCTV), alarm systems, and guarding services.
Monitor entry and exit points to prevent theft, sabotage, pilferage, and unauthorized access.
Ensure secure storage and movement of raw materials, finished goods, and sensitive equipment.
3. Personnel & Guard Force Management
Recruit, train, deploy, and supervise security personnel and supervisors.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and disciplinary actions where required.
Ensure security staff are trained in industrial security, emergency response, and safety procedures.
Maintain discipline, professionalism, and ethical conduct within the security team.
4. Risk Assessment & Incident Management
Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
Investigate security incidents, breaches, thefts, accidents, or misconduct.
Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate response to emergencies such as fire, industrial accidents, civil disturbances, or natural disasters.
5. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
Ensure compliance with local laws, industrial regulations, labor laws, and safety standards.
Coordinate with government agencies, police, fire services, and regulatory bodies as required.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks related to security and safety.
Integrate security measures with occupational health and safety programs.
6. Information & Asset Protection
Safeguard confidential company information, documents, and intellectual property.
Implement controls to prevent information leaks, espionage, or industrial sabotage.
Monitor and protect critical infrastructure and production systems.
7. Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management
Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and disaster management plans.
Conduct drills and simulations for fire, evacuation, lockdowns, and other emergencies.
Lead crisis management efforts during major security or safety incidents.
8. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare regular security reports for senior management.
Analyze security data, trends, and incidents to improve systems and processes.
Recommend technology upgrades and improvements to enhance security effectiveness.
Manage the security budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Industrial Safety, Business Administration, or a related field.
Advanced degree or professional certification in security or risk management is an advantage.
Professional Experience
Minimum
10-15 years of experience
in security management, preferably in an industrial or factory environment.
Proven experience in leading large security teams and managing complex security operations.
Background in law enforcement, military, or industrial security is desirable.

Working Conditions
Based primarily at the factory/industrial site
May require extended hours, shift work, or on-call availability
Must be able to respond promptly to emergencies
Authority & Accountability
Authority over all security personnel and security-related operations
Accountable for the safety and security of factory assets, employees, and premises
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
