The Chief Security Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the hotel's security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and assets. This role demands strong leadership, crisis management skills, and proven experience in hotel security operations.
Oversee all security functions and ensure 24x7 safety across the hotel premises.
Implement and monitor security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
Conduct regular security audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Oversee CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and other security technologies.
Team Leadership & Training
Lead, supervise, and schedule the entire security team.
Train staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, fire safety, and guest protection.
Conduct regular drills: fire evacuation, emergency preparedness, disaster management.
Guest & Asset Protection
Ensure the safety of guests, employees, and hotel property at all times.
Handle guest complaints related to security promptly and professionally.
Monitor entry/exit points, deliveries, and movement of contractors and visitors.
Crisis & Incident Management
Respond to emergencies, medical situations, thefts, or conflicts.
Prepare incident reports and coordinate with local authorities when required.
Manage investigations related to internal and external security issues.
Compliance & Coordination
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, local laws, fire safety regulations, and government guidelines.
Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and emergency services.
Maintain updated records of security logs, incident reports, and statutory documents.
Surveillance & Technology
Oversee maintenance of CCTV systems, alarms, fire panels, and communication devices.
Recommend upgrades to security equipment and systems.
Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience & Industry
10-12 years of experience in
security management

preferably in the hotel industry (mandatory)

Proven experience managing large teams in a hospitality environment.
Educational & Technical Skills
Degree/diploma in Security Management, Criminology, or relevant field preferred.
Certifications in fire safety, first aid, disaster management, or hotel security are an advantage.
Strong knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency procedures.
