The Chief Security Officer (CSO) will lead, plan, and manage all security operations for Suncity Metals & Tubes Pvt. Ltd., with primary responsibility for the Mundra facility. The role ensures safety of people, material, assets, information, and processes while aligning with industry standards and company policies.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Security Operations & Management
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans.
Oversee physical security arrangements including access control, surveillance systems, patrolling, and perimeter security.
Lead the security team at Mundra operations and coordinate with security personnel across all company sites.
Ensure round-the-clock vigilance and effective monitoring of plant premises, warehouses, and material movement.
B. Risk Management & Compliance
Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability analysis.
Ensure compliance with statutory and port/regulatory security norms at Mundra.
Liaison with local authorities, police, CISF, port security, and emergency services.
Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and security breaches.
C. Incident Handling & Reporting
Lead investigations for security breaches, thefts, accidents, or disciplinary issues.
Prepare detailed incident reports and submit findings to management.
Manage emergency situations such as fire, natural calamities, labour unrest, or operational disruptions.
D. Team Leadership & Coordination
Supervise, train, and evaluate security personnel and contractors.
Conduct regular security drills, training sessions, and awareness programs for employees.
Coordinate with the Jodhpur head office on strategy, budgeting, and updates.
E. Asset & Material Security
Monitor inward and outward material movement with full documentation.
Implement systems to prevent pilferage, unauthorized access, and material fraud.
Ensure secure storage and transit of high-value inventory.
3. Desired Candidate ProfileQualifications
Graduate (preferably ex-army/ex-defense/paramilitary).
Certification in industrial security, risk management, or related fields is an advantage.
Experience
10-20+ years of experience in industrial/plant/port security management.
Prior experience in metal, manufacturing, logistics, port operations, or large industrial units preferred.
Experience in handling large teams and critical situations.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and command skills.
Deep knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control, fire safety, etc.).
Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
High integrity, discipline, and decision-making ability under pressure.
4. Compensation
As per industry standards (negotiable based on experience and competencies).
