Managing CapEx
Continuous Monitoring of CapEx, OpEx. Cost Optimization
Timely execution of projects and deliveries.
Leading preparation of Budgets and continuous monitoring.
Manage expansion projects to ensure that business growth is achieved in line with the strategy.
Review project metrics in terms of financial figures and timelines regularly to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Oversee the implementation of cost control initiatives to control the operating expenses and provide maximum earnings for the business.
Technology and IT Enablement
Technology & Automation Framework Design
Lead the identification of technology enablement/ automation requirements for processes.
Continually scan the business environment for digital disruptions that could be effectively utilised for betterment of processes.
Oversee the alignment of the BU level applications with applicable policies & guidelines and provide signoffs for any exceptions / non-compliances as required
Implementation and Roll-Out of IT Initiatives
Drive development / up-gradation and implementation of BU wide project related IT applications and platforms to cater to evolving business needs.
Emphasize on constant technological improvements to meet the changing business requirements and enhancing efficiencies & effectiveness of processes.
Stakeholder Management * Guide team to obtain timely approvals from concerned agencies such as AAI or environment departments to ensure that project can be set up.
Oversee all external stakeholder communication and follow up wherever necessary to ensure that required approvals are obtained on time.
Coordinate with state government and PSU chiefs and ministers to ensure that business interests and clearances are obtained as desired.
Data Management
Master Data Management (MDM)
Design data governance processes and policies and identify data owners for domains in line with established guidelines.
Drive the preparation of SOP and guidelines for projects master data management, maintenance, and validation.
Review and govern data cleansing and maintenance through dashboards /reports and drive actions to maintain completeness and accuracy of data
Data Analytics
Spearhead data analysis for projects related and provide guidance in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value.
Oversee action planning basis data analytics performed and drive implementation of identified improvement interventions.
Governance
Governance Framework & Compliance
Define governance framework and establish governance systems and processes for Projects vertical for Airports.
Provide guidance and approvals for deviations from the defined governance framework
Projects Function Performance Managemen
Establish frameworks to effectively monitor the overall Projects function performance.
Institutionalize mechanisms/ processes to effectively report the performance of the Projects function to concerned stakeholders.
Benchmarks and Standards
Continuously scan the environment and bring benchmarks and standards relevant to the Projects function.
Drive events and participate in forums/ councils to facilitate knowledge sharing and engage with professionals within and outside the Group.
People Management * Organization Structure and Manpower Planning
Drive the implementation of Project organization structure and define roles and responsibilities for roles.
Formulate manpower plan and draw talent implications considering the current and future talent requirements of the function.
Talent Acquisition and Resource Allocation
Conduct hiring for lead roles and team members in the project function (leadership and team members)
Allocate manpower and ensure optimum cross-utilization of resources & SMEs on dynamic basis across all sites of the BU.
Performance Management
Drive a collaborative and a high-performance driven culture - Set goals, review performance, and provide feedback to ensure a motivated and committed team.
Capability Development
Create and deploy effective framework for Functional Capability building; Develop talent by providing coaching and mentor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or Equivalent in Full Time from Recognized Institute.
20+ years of relevant experience
At least 10 years at leadership level role in Projects in large/medium size organization.
Active experience of managing large teams (Team size including Direct as well as indirect reports
15) * Rich experience in formulating strategies and conceptualizing frameworks; Hands on experience of envisaging projects incubation till execution/Delivery.
Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders (Internal and External)
Experience of Concluding negotiations with large-scale & high-value vendors
Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as in-depth knowledge of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risks
