Role Overview:



The Chief Project Manager (CPM) will be the senior-most technical authority and execution lead for a high-profile Metro Rail project in Mumbai, involving GIS-based power supply and OHE systems of 66kV and above. The role requires strong coordination with government and consulting bodies (MMRDA, SYSTRA, IRCON), and direct supervision over all project engineering, procurement, construction, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Project Leadership & Coordination



Lead overall project execution related to OHE and Power Supply systems (GIS-based, 66kV & above). Act as the single point of contact for coordination with MMRDA, SYSTRA, IRCON, consultants, and internal teams. Oversee drawing approvals, design integration, and engineering coordination.

2. Contractual & Technical Management



Retain, review, and monitor all tender documents, agreements, and non-commercial contracts with key partners. Approve technical parameters for procurement in line with tender specifications and client standards. Validate new vendors or technologies requested by client authorities with proper documentation and justification.

3. Quality, Safety & Compliance



Conduct test checks to ensure adherence to Metro Railway Standards. Oversee third-party inspections, safety audits, and corrective actions (e.g., rusting, waterproofing, etc.). Monitor construction worker safety protocols and coordinate with administrative teams on site facilities.

4. Communication & Documentation



Chair all meetings with client representatives and consultants; ensure detailed minutes are recorded and circulated. Maintain records of approvals, submissions, and agreements. Supervise technical assistants and interface engineers to maintain smooth coordination between all parties.

5. Site & Utility Management



Ensure provision of temporary utilities such as electricity and water for site operations and worker welfare. Oversee site office hygiene, washroom facilities, camera/security setup, and general cleanliness in collaboration with admin.

6. Financial Coordination



Supervise the signing and submission of Joint Measurement Sheets (JMS) for billing. Coordinate with the accounts team to collect client payments and provide support in communication with billing authorities.

7. Statutory Compliance & Admin Oversight



Ensure that all statutory certificates (PST, PAN, GST, Shop & Establishment, etc.) are up-to-date and verified. Oversee insurance renewals, pollution control, vehicle documentation, and company-wide compliance protocols.

Desired Competencies:



Strong technical acumen in Power Supply Systems (GIS), OHE infrastructure, and Metro Rail project standards. Proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including clients, consultants, and government bodies. Excellent leadership, communication, documentation, and crisis-management skills. Familiarity with Metro/Urban Rail project regulations, safety codes, and design protocols.
