Education & Experience:
Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Manufacturing, with a minimum of 20 years of experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role within a medium to large-sized organization.

External:
Role purpose: To oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of an organization, ensuring that the company's operational activities align with its strategic goals and objectives. The COO reports to CEO and coordinate with the executive team to implement business strategies, streamline processes, and drive operational efficiency across all departments.
Key responsibilities and Deliverables / Outcomes:
a) Critical Competencies Required (Knowledge/Skill/Attitude)
Strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
Examining and re-engineering operations and procedures. Formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Financial planning and managing resources. Analyzing and interpreting financial data. Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques.
Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
b) General Tasks & Responsibilities
Develop a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
Promotes a culture that reflects the organization's values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity.
Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company.
Provides prompt, thorough, and accurate information to keep the board appropriately informed of the organization's financial position.
Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
c) Major Deliverables/Key Result Areas
Creates annual operating plans that support strategic direction set by the board and correlates with annual operating budgets. Deliver objectives and target set by the board for short, medium & long term.

Provide leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry.
Develop strategic alliances within the industry to progress upstream & downstream synergies and efficiencies.
Develop and monitor strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organization.
