Chief Operating Officer (COO) - International Tour & Travel
Role Summary:
The COO is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the international tour and travel business. The role involves driving global expansion, ensuring operational excellence, enhancing customer experience, building strong international partnerships, and achieving sustainable revenue growth while maintaining compliance with international travel regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Define and implement the company's vision, mission, and long-term growth strategy.
Identify new international markets, destinations, and business opportunities.
Lead digital transformation and innovation in travel services.
Business Development & Partnerships
Build and maintain relationships with global airlines, hotels, destination management companies, and tourism boards.
Negotiate international contracts, alliances, and vendor agreements.
Explore mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures to expand global presence.
Operations & Service Excellence
Oversee end-to-end international travel operations including tours, visas, ticketing, accommodations, and ground services.
Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and service quality.
Implement systems for operational efficiency and risk management.
Financial Management
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.
Approve budgets, pricing strategies, and investment plans.
Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and compliance with taxation and foreign exchange regulations.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with international travel laws, aviation regulations, visa norms, and data protection policies.
Manage crisis situations such as travel disruptions, geopolitical issues, or global health emergencies.
Oversee insurance, safety standards, and traveler risk management protocols.
Marketing & Brand Development
Strengthen the brand's global presence and reputation.
Guide international marketing, sales strategies, and distribution channels.
Ensure alignment between product offerings and market demand.
People Leadership
Lead and mentor senior management and international teams.
Build a performance-driven, customer-centric organizational culture.
Oversee talent acquisition, training, and leadership development.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality, with senior leadership exposure.
Proven track record in managing international travel operations and scaling businesses globally.
