Position Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Works closely with: CFO, CHRO, Chief Medical Director, Unit Heads, Associate Director, Operations, Communications & Fundraising Teams
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Business Strategy & Institutional Growth
Co-develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with the Foundations
mission and healthcare delivery priorities
Own and deliver business performance KPIs across all units and service lines
enabling data-led, outcome-focused decision-making
Participate and implement growth plans across verticals including consultations,
diagnostics, scans, wellness, education, outreach, and digital services
Evaluate and advise on business viability of new medical or allied services including
outreach clinics, home care, midwifery expansion, etc.
Support annual and mid-term planning cycles with structured business analysis and
prioritization frameworks
2. Financial Enablement & Service Innovation
Identify and grow revenue streams beyond core maternitysuch as gynecology,
fertility, neonatology, pediatrics, and preventive health
Strengthen pricing, bundling, and business case design across packages and
services (e.g., Blissful Birthing, NICU pathways, community clinics) with financially
viable solutions
Partner with clinical leadership to enhance service design, patient journeys, and
value-based pricing models
Institutionalize monthly business reviews, dashboards, and decision support tools
for internal stakeholders
3. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
Lead external partnerships across insurance, CSR, government programs, and
community health alliances
Build formal partner engagement systems including documentation, MoU renewals,
partner accountability, and joint goal tracking
Create strategic alliances with referral networks, fertility clinics, and pediatric followup partners for integrated care models
Represent the Foundation in high-level stakeholder meetings with funders, donors,
public agencies, and industry forums
4. Fundraising, Donor Engagement & Philanthropic Positioning
Lead all philanthropic business development for programs including midwifery,
outreach, NICU, and maternal mental health
Sustain and grow high-value donor relationships and institutional funding pipelines
Oversee proposal writing, impact reporting, and donor communication alongside the
fundraising and communications teams
Position a model of maternal healthcare delivery for
philanthropic and impact-oriented funders
5. Leadership of Business Operations and Strategic Initiatives
Act as the business anchor for new strategic initiatives and transformations (e.g.,
digital transformation, new hospital models, expansion to underserved regions)
Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and other CXOs to integrate business strategy
with clinical, HR, and operational roadmaps
Build and mentor a small but high-capability business and fundraising team that
supports execution at scale
Lead org-wide strategic projects such as public-private partnerships, franchising
models, or center-of-excellence development in maternal & childcare
Candidate Profile
Must-Have o 18 to 22 years of experience with increasing leadership responsibility in business strategy, healthcare operations, or consulting o Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder initiatives and drive execution in complex, mission-driven environments o Strong business acumen with comfort across financial planning, service design, market expansion, and operational delivery o Exceptional communication, proposal writing, and institutional representation skills o
Experience working closely with founders/boards/senior clinicians and balancing mission with scale
Preferred o Deep exposure to the healthcare delivery ecosystem (hospital chains, health tech, or public health programs) o Experience with CSR funding, social impact investments, or strategic philanthropy o MBA / MHA or equivalent qualification in business, healthcare management, or public policy
