What we are looking for:
Yash Seals is a family-owned business that used to be traditional but is now changing in all
facets - doubling capacity YoY, launching new countries, entering new verticals, and growing
beyond ambitions. We are looking for a driven operations associate to join our fast-growing
team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data-led operational improvements. This
role is designed for someone who can move beyond reporting- understanding processes to
create metrics, using data to diagnose gaps, take corrective action, and track outcomes of
those actions on the floor, which has a movement of 350-400 workers on any day.
Eventually (TATAs are not a good example of this), you could own the global operations
function or launch another vertical- you will report directly to the family until the family starts
reporting to you. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for autonomy,
responsibility, and a chance to make impact.
What you'll do:
1. Setup control tower and associated SOPs

Use top-down data for every process to develop SOPs/automation for corrective
action against defined benchmarks for improvement on the floor

Develop new metrics in addition to cycle time variance, labor productivity, downtime
by reason for improvement, and insights

Develop bottom-up data and correlate with top-down data, which is output from our
existing custom-software
2. Use the control tower for improving inventory and planning

Identify SME customer orders exceeding benchmark TATs due to
inventory/equipment, and implement processes to improve planning, inventory, and
prevent recurrence through better material availability and sequencing

Support throughput for key accounts by tracking monthly targets, PO ageing, and
schedule adherence to ensure volumes committed are met

Prevent hidden operational losses by reconciling physical inventory against system
data, monitoring monthly consumption variance, flagging stock inaccuracies
impacting production and delivery
3. Use the control tower and demand schedules for effective manpower planning

Continuously learn, and optimize manpower costs by monitoring planned vs actual
hours, output per person, while identifying opportunities to reduce manpower per
process

Use bottom-up and top-down data for effective manpower planning, ensuring buffer
while minimizing unutilisation, and develop systems for automated hiring/firing of
workers to meet demand fluctuation

Implement efficiency and absenteeism into hiring and retention decisions, allowing
quick, corrective actions during demand fluctuations
