Job Purpose: The head of projects leads the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of infrastructure projects essential to the growth and operational excellence of the organization. By leveraging technical expertise, fostering stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, the Head of Projects plays a crucial role in driving continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainable development.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Leadership:
Develop and implement strategic plans for infrastructure projects aligned with corporate objectives.
Lead project feasibility assessments, site selection, and planning phases to ensure project viability.
Optimize resource allocation and manage project budgets to achieve cost-efficiency and profitability.
Technical Excellence and Innovation:
Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring innovative solutions and adherence to industry best practices.
Review and approve project designs, technical specifications, and engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
Act as the primary liaison between project teams, senior management, clients, regulatory authorities, and community stakeholders.
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance and cost control.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive progress reports and presentations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Compliance, Regulatory, and Legal Oversight:
Implement and enforce rigorous compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and corporate policies.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical standards throughout project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure financial integrity.
Financial Acumen and Risk Management:
Manage project budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasting to optimize resource allocation and mitigate financial risks.
Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risk factors affecting project delivery.
Ensure financial governance and compliance with financial reporting standards and corporate governance principles.
Ethical Standards and Corporate Governance:
Promote and uphold ethical standards and corporate governance principles within the project team and across stakeholders.
Ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in all project activities and decision-making processes.
Champion a culture of ethical behavior, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the project organization.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration (MBA)
Work Experience:
20+ years of experience in managing infrastructure projects, preferably within manufacturing or construction sectors
Industry Knowledge:
Expertise in project lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and resource optimization. Strong understanding of technical specifications, engineering principles, and legal frameworks related to project execution.
