About Unidoc

Unidoc Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. is building a next-generation, cloud-based hospital software platform (EMR / HIMS) to digitize OPD, IPD, lab, pharmacy, billing and reports for small to mid-size hospitals in India. Our goal is to make hospital workflows simpler, faster and more transparent for doctors, staff and management.

Role Overview

We are looking for a

Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

who is:

A qualified

doctor

(MBBS; MD/ DNB preferred)

Tech-savvy

, comfortable with EMR / hospital software Confident in

sales conversations and product demos

with doctors & hospital management Able to

understand real pain points

of hospital staff (doctors, nurses, front office, billing, lab, pharmacy) and convert them into product requirements
You will be the

clinical face of Unidoc

- bridging between hospitals and our product/tech team.

Key Responsibilities1. Clinical & Product Leadership

Act as the

primary clinical voice

for Unidoc's EMR/HIMS platform. Understand OPD, IPD, emergency, lab, pharmacy and billing workflows in detail. Translate real-world hospital pain points into

clear product requirements

and workflows for the tech team. Review product features, give clinical validation and ensure they are

safe, practical and doctor-friendly

.
2. Sales, Product Demos & Client Engagement

Conduct

product demos

for doctors, hospital owners, administrators and nursing staff in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas. Join the sales team in

hospital meetings

, help build trust and answer clinical/operational questions. Explain how Unidoc can fit into their current workflow and improve efficiency, documentation and patient care. Support the sales team in

closing pilot projects and long-term contracts

by providing clinical credibility.
3. Implementation & Training

Work closely with hospital staff during

implementation and go-live

phases. Conduct

training sessions

for doctors, nurses and administrative staff on how to use Unidoc. Collect feedback during pilots, prioritize issues, and coordinate with the product/tech team to resolve them. Help design SOPs and best practices for hospitals using Unidoc.
4. Clinical Governance & Compliance

Ensure that product workflows follow

standard clinical practices

, documentation norms and medico-legal sensibilities. Provide inputs on clinical documentation, prescription formats, discharge summaries, and reporting templates. Work with the leadership team on

clinical quality, patient safety and data privacy

standards.
5. Internal Leadership & Strategy

Work directly with the

Founder/Director

on product roadmap from a clinical perspective. Contribute to

market positioning

, value propositions and messaging for doctors and hospitals. Mentor internal team members (sales, product, support) to better understand hospital workflows.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:

MBBS is

mandatory

. MD / DNB / equivalent in any clinical speciality is preferred but not compulsory.

Experience:

Minimum 3+ years

of post-MBBS clinical experience in a hospital setting (ward, OPD, IPD, emergency, ICU, etc.). Experience interacting closely with hospital operations: nursing, billing, lab, pharmacy, front desk, TPA, etc. Prior exposure to

hospital information systems / EMR / health-tech products

is strongly preferred.

Ahmedabad

, with willingness to travel to nearby hospitals for demos and implementations.
Skills & Competencies

Tech-Savvy:

Comfortable using computers, mobile apps, EMR/HIS/LIS or similar software. Ability to quickly understand new features and demonstrate them confidently.

Communication & Sales Orientation:

Strong communication skills in

Gujarati, Hindi and English

(spoken and written). Confident speaker; able to lead hospital presentations and one-on-one discussions with senior doctors. Natural inclination towards

relationship building, persuasion and closing deals

.

Clinical & Operational Understanding:

Deep understanding of day-to-day hospital workflows and pain points for doctors and staff. Practical mindset: knows what can actually work in a busy OPD or IPD.

Ownership & Startup Mindset:

Comfortable working in a

startup environment

with evolving processes. High sense of ownership, willingness to

get hands dirty

during pilots and implementations. Problem-solving attitude and ability to work closely with tech and non-tech team members.
Nice-to-Have

Prior experience in

health-tech startups, EMR/HIMS companies, telemedicine, or digital health

. Experience as

Medical Superintendent, Clinical Coordinator, or Hospital Administrator

. Familiarity with NABH processes or other quality initiatives.
Compensation

Salary:

?60,000 - ?1,00,000 per month, depending on experience, interview performance and fit. Performance-based incentives can be discussed for sales closures and successful implementations.
